Given that the last call for submissions was for half forward fold, requesting pics of uttanasana seemed like the next logical step. It’s another one that I see a lot of variations for — foot stance, knee bendage (or not), hand placement, use of props — either to make the pose less intense in the spine or hamstrings or else to increase the sensation there. (I’m going to note, here, that the sensation I’m talking about in the low back tends to be more “loose and relaxed” and less “stretching.” Because it’s way not cool to crank on the low back.) Heck, it’s a pose that has a lot of variety even just for me, depending on when during my day and practice I use it.
